Microdermabrasion
What is Microdermabrasion?
Microdermabrsion is a non-invasive gentle abrasion (skin polishing) treatment that propels natural mineral crystals onto the surface of the skin to reveal newer, healthier, younger looking skin. With healthier skin as its base, many conditions begin to heal themselves. Treatments have been performed for years and found to be safe and effective for use on face, neck and chest of all skin types.

The surface layer of skin collects harmful environmental elements. By aggressively, removing this layer of dead, impacted cells the surface is refined and smoothed. The micro-massage action of the treatment stimulates blood flow and oxygen which in turn nourishes the skin and fortifies new cell growth. The increased lymph flow beneath the surface provides cleansing and balancing benefits, which directly relate to clearing many acne problems.

Where can Microdermabrasion be performed? (back to top)
Treatment can be performed on the face, neck, chest, hands, back, elbows, and feet

What does treatment involve?
During the treatment a stream of fine crystals are delivered across the face, which are then removed with damaged skin cells by a vacuum. This helps accelerate the cellular turnover process leaving your skin feeling soft, fresh and with a healthy glow.

What results can I expect? (back to top)
Microdermabrasion gradually resurfaces your skin accelerating the cell turnover process. Improvements in appearance and texture will occur with successive treatments.

How many treatments will I need?
For best results, 6 treatments scheduled biweekly are recommended. Each treatment lasts approximately 30 minutes with no down time for healing.

Chemical Peels (back to top)

Salicylic Acid
Salicylic Acid is a Beta Hydroxy Acid derived from Willow bark. It is a highly effective, superficial peel that reduces oil production, pore size and active acne lesions. Beta Hydroxy Acid, such as Salicylic Acid has a larger molecule size than Alpha Hydroxy Acid, and exfoliates aging cells, dirt and debris from the skins surface and pores. Slaicylic Acid Peels are beneficial for acneic, oily skin types.

Glycolic Acid Peel
Glycolic Acid is an Alpha Hydroxy Acid that is derived from sugar cane and is a non-invasive treatment that can refine the texture and improve the overall appearance by revealing younger more vibrant skin. Glycolic Acid Peels safely remove a thin layer of skin ridding skin of damaged cells and treating wrinkles and fine lines, age spots and uneven skin tone. Glycolic Acid Peels as well as other peels are a progressive treatment series with stronger more aggressive chemical solutions each visit.

Lactic Acid Peel
Lactic Acid like Glycolic Acid are both Alpha Hydroxy Acid. Lactic Acid is derived from sour milk and is a much milder exfoliant with moisture retention properties that promote softer, smoother skin. Lactic Acid Peel is a great treatment for uneven pigmented, sun damaged skin. If you have Rosacea or sensitive skin this may be the peel for you.

Enzyme Peel
Organic Fruit enzymes are used to exfoliate dull surface layers on sensitive skin types. Pomegranate and Cranberry antioxidants result in more youthful vitality. Enzymes can be combined with Glycolic or Salicylic Acid to treat dull, dehydrated skin

What do chemical peels do?
Exposure to the sun and the elements in combination with adverse living habits contribute to the appearance of our skin. Chemical peels can help reverse acne scarring, sun damage, age spots, freckles, fine lines, rough skin, and uneven pigmentation into fresh smooth skin.

What is treatment like?
The skin is thoroughly cleansed and a topical chemical is applied to aid in the restoration and rejuvenation of the skin’s surface. They create a uniform and controlled shedding of several layers of the skin. Depending on the nature and depth of the peel a significant number of layers can be exfoliated allowing new growth to be exposed. The peels are classified as superficial, medium, or deep. Your skin type and the results you are aspiring to achieve will determine which class of peel is appropriate for you.

What results can I expect? (back to top)
You will experience minimal to intense peeling following your treatment depending on the level of peel you received. Once the dead skin cells have flaked off you will have rejuvenated and fresh skin.

How many treatments will I need?
For best results, several treatments are recommended. Throughout your treatment program you will see noticeable improvements in your skin.

PhotoRejuvenation (back to top)
What is PhotoRejuvenation?
PhotoRejuvenation is a series of Intense Pulsed Light Treatments that improve the appearance of Rosacea, flushing, sun damaged skin, age spots (brown spots), skin texture, and photo aging. PhotoRejuvenation can also improve mild acne scars, reduce large pores, correct dark circles around the eyes, and reduce fine lines

What is treatment like?
An intense light is applied in a series of gentle pulses over the treatment area. The light penetrates through the skin and is absorbed by the abnormally dilated vessels or pigmentation. The heat from the light impairs the vessel or lesion causing the body’s natural healing process to begin. The lesion will darken then flake off or be absorbed by the body.

Is there downtime associated with this treatment? (back to top)
The treatment is quick and requires no down time so you can resume your normal activities immediately.
